- K&N’s Bologna Slices - 14-16 slices
- Bread - 1 loaf
- Basil mayo sauce - as required
- Green bell pepper - 1 cup; sliced
- Cheddar cheese slices - as required
- Tomatoes - 1 cup; sliced
Basil Mayo Sauce
- Mayonnaise - 2 cups
- Parmesan cheese - 1 cup
- Basil - 1 tbsp; freshly chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper powder - 2 tbsp
- White pepper powder - 1 tbsp
Cut the top off bread and hollow it out.
Thaw K&N’s Bologna Slices as per instructions on pack.
Spread basil mayonnaise sauce on the inside of the bread evenly.
Roll K&N’s Bologna Slices and place horizontally inside the bread to make a layer.
Top it with green bell pepper, cheddar cheese slices and tomatoes.
Add basil mayonnaise and repeat the layers again.
Add one more layer of rolled K&N’s Bologna Slices and tomatoes on top, spread basil mayo on the lid of bread and cover it.
Bake in a preheated oven for 3 to 4 minutes at 180°C or until cheese melts.
Slice it like a cake into segments and serve.
Basil Mayo Sauce
In a bowl mix all ingredients until well combined. Your spread is ready, set aside.
- All-purpose flour - 3 cups
- Butter - 2 tbsp
- Granulated sugar - 2 tbsp
- Salt - 1 tbsp
- Yeast - 2 tbsp
- Oil - 1 tsp
- Warm water - 3/4 cup
- Warm water - 2 cups; for kneading
- Butter unsalted - 3 tbsp; at room temperature
In a bowl, add all-purpose flour, sugar, salt, yeast, unsalted butter, 2 cups warm water and stir to combine.
Continue to knead until a soft ball of dough forms and clears the sides of the bowl.
Place dough in a lightly greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let it sit doubles in size, about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Turn the dough out onto a clean, lightly floured surface. Gently press all over to remove any air pockets. Gently pat it into a rectangle shape.
Grease baking dish with butter and transfer dough.
Brush dough with some more butter and bake in a preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes at 180°C or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
