Ingredients
  • K&N's Kofta - 7 koftas
  • Cooking oil - ½ cup
  • Onion - 1; fried and blended
  • Garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  • Ginger paste - 1 tsp
  • Coriander seeds - 1 tbsp; ground
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Whole spice powder - ½ tsp
  • Cumin seeds - ½ tsp (optional)
  • Salt and pepper - 1 tsp or to taste
  • Tomatoes - ½ kg; blended
  • Yogurt - ½ cup
  • Almonds - 6-8; soaked, peeled and ground
  • Water - 2 cups
  • Cream - 1 tbsp
  • Fresh coriander - ½ tbsp; for garnishing

 

Method

Shallow fry K&N's Koftas in a cooking pot.

Add blended onion, garlic and ginger paste into the same pot and cook for a few minutes.

Add coriander powder, chilli powder, whole spice powder, cumin seed, salt, pepper and blended tomatoes.

Cook until oil surfaces.

Add yogurt and almond paste and cook for few minutes.

Add water and simmer on low flame, until oil separates.

Add cream and cook for 2 minutes.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve with flatbread (chapati) or rice.

To enjoy Kofta Curry with cheese, transfer freshly cooked curry to a plate and sprinkle grated cheese on the Koftas.
