Ingredients
  • K&N’S Mini Franks Sausage - 10-12 sausages
  • Oil - for frying
  • Coating mixture - as required
  • Ketchup - as required

 

Method

Thaw K&N’s Mini Franks Sausage as per instructions on pack.

Insert a skewer from one side of the Mini Franks Sausage.

Dip each sausage into the coating mixture to coat well.

Heat oil in a pan, fry each dipped sausage for 3-5 minutes.

Place fried sausages onto the kitchen towel to remove excess oil.

Make a smiley with ketchup and serve.

 
Coating Mixture:
Ingredients
  • All-purpose flour - 1 cup
  • Cornmeal - ¾ cup
  • Baking powder - 2 tsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Buttermilk - 2 cups
  • Egg - 1
  • Oil - 2 tbsp

 

Method

In a bowl, add all-purpose flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, sugar and mix well.

In another bowl, add buttermilk, oil, egg and whisk together.

Gradually pour buttermilk mixture into dry ingredients and mix well to avoid any lumps.

Pour the prepared batter into a tall glass.
