Ingredients
  • K&N’s Tender Pops - 20-24 pieces
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Butter - 3 tbsp
  • Garlic - 1 tbsp; chopped
  • Water - 1½ cup
  • Soy sauce - 1 tsp
  • Hot sauce - ½ tbsp
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Ginger - 1 tsp; grated
  • Honey - 2 tbsp
  • Slurry - ¼ cup (2 tbsp corn flour dissolved in ¼ cup water)
  • Garlic mayo - as required
  • Green onion - as required; chopped
  • Potato baskets - as required

 

Method

In a pan, heat oil and melt butter. Sauté garlic until brown.

Add water, soy sauce, hot sauce, salt, ginger and honey. Let simmer over medium-low flame for 4-5 minutes.

Gradually add slurry while stirring continuously until sauce thickens.

Fry K&N’s Tender Pops as per instructions on pack and toss them into this sauce until glazed properly.

Add glazed tender pops into the fried potato baskets. Drizzle garlic mayo sauce over them and sprinkle green onion on top.

Your Mini Potato Baskets with Glazed Tender Pops are ready. Serve.

 

Potato Baskets:
Ingredients
  • Potatoes - 3 cups; grated
  • Corn flour - ¼ cup
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Oil - for frying

 

Method

In a bowl, add grated potatoes, cornstarch, and salt. Mix until well combined.

In a cupcake baking dish, spread potato mixture in the shape of a basket. Let it bake for 12-15 minutes in a preheated oven at 180°C.

Take out from baking dish and deep fry until golden brown from the outside. Your potato baskets are ready. Set aside.
